THE SMITH
I am a Michigan based blacksmith; I work with fire and steel and hammers to produce knives that can be used daily. The pursuit of a beautiful high functioning product is what drives me forward to make my work. The fast paced world we live in today lends itself to convenience and productivity -- but what about quality or passion for a product? Mass produced items fall short not only in quality but also in soul. My goal is to put a piece with a story and character in your hands. For thousands of years, talented craftsmen have been using heat to manipulate metal. From the most basic farming tools to beautiful art-like weaponry, forging aesthetically pleasing yet functional works is an age old human tradition we have left behind for more convenient methods of production.

Cabin Creek products are built to last. Pieces will show hammer marks - proof of the smith's involvement in the blade's creation.
HAND FORGED PRODUCTS
Each product at Cabin Creek Ironworks is hand forged. Working in a forge is hot and toilsome work, but it is what I love to do most. Through literal blood, sweat, and perhaps even tears, I strive to put beautiful functional pieces in my clients’ hands.
